Ben Ptashnik, born in Jaffa, Israel, is a lifelong social justice activist, environmentalist, and philanthropist. Early in life Ben was a civil rights activist and taxi driver in NY City, where he attended CCNY. He later moved to Vermont where he organized in the organic food movement, and served two terms as a Vermont State Senator.
